Big Changes in UPI from August 1
Major changes are going to take place from August 1, 2025 to how people use their UPI (Unified Payments Interface). These updates will affect users of many popular apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm. These new rules are being introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to make UPI faster, safer and more stable. These steps are being introduced to decrease the system overload and avoid technical problems like server outages, which were reported in recent months.
