Central Government Notifies 12% GST on Fly Ash Bricks, Building Bricks and Roofing Tiles
The Ministry of Finance has recently issued a notification (Notification No. 14/2025-Central Tax (Rate) dated 17th September, 2025), announcing the central tax rate for some goods. As per the notification, based on the recommendations of the GST Council, the central government is imposing a central tax of 6% for certain goods.
These goods include Fly ash bricks, Fly ash aggregates, Fly ash blocks, Building bricks, Fossil Meals Bricks, etc, and the rates are applicable on the intra-state supplies of goods. The rate notified in the notification is set to take effect from September 22, 2025.
