Central Government Notifies Poppy Cultivation Tracts for Opium Crop Year 2025-26
Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) recently shared a notification on September 11, 2025 in execution of rule 5 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rule, 1985, the Central Government notifies the tracts in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand specified in the Table below as the tracts within which poppy may be cultivated on account of the Central Government during the opium crop year starting on October 1, 2025 and ending on September 30, 2026.
