GST Portal to Remain Unavailable on September 16

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) portal has made an important announcement regarding the unavailability of the portal on September 16, 2025. According to the official update, the GST portal services will be unavailable from 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM on 16th September 2025.

The reason for the temporary unavailability is the maintenance and the upgrade of the GST portal services. Therefore, to enhance the portal services, it will not work tomorrow. “We shall be enhancing services on the GST portal on 16th Sep’25 12:00 AM onwards. GST Portal services will not be available until 16th Sep’25 02:00 AM. The inconvenience caused is regretted, ” the portal said.

During this period, the taxpayers cannot use the portal for any services such as filing returns, registration, payments, etc. Therefore, if you have any important compliance tasks, then you must complete them before the specified time.
