Download New Income Tax Act 2025
On 21st August 2025, the President of India gave her assent to the Income-tax Act, 2025, making it an official law. The Parliament passed this law in the 76th year of the Republic of India. The Ministry of Law and Justice has published an official notification announcing the implementation of the new Income-tax Act, 2025.
This new law will replace the old Income-tax Act, 1961, which was effective for over 60 years, and will be applicable from 1st April 2026. The Income-tax Act, 2025, aims to simplify the tax rules for the taxpayers and remove the outdated provisions. The new Act uses modern language, which is more suitable for the present time.
