ITR Due Date of 15th September Extended? Know More

The Income Tax Department of India has shared an important news on their official social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) regarding fake notices of Income tax return (ITR) extensions.

Income tax department shared that fake news is in circulation stating that the due date for filing ITR scheduled for July 31 and extended to September 15 has now been further extended to September 30, 2025.

However, Income tax department declared that the official deadline remains the same: September 15, 2025

Income Tax Department advised taxpayers to use the Income Tax Department’s 24×7 helpdesk, which provides support via calls, WebEx sessions, live chat and social media platform X. for any issues related to ITR filing or tax payments.
