ITR Update: Tax Data to be updated by June 15; Taxpayers Advised to Wait Before Filing
The Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing ITR till September 15, 2025. Earlier, the date was July 31, 2025. This extension has provided a big relief to taxpayers. However, some taxpayers consider it a burden and generally want to file it immediately to get rid of it. But all taxpayers should note, the department has not uploaded the data for filing ITR on its portal yet. This may cause discrepancies in the ITRs.
