MCA Notifies Shri Narayani (Kumbakonam) Nidhi Limited as Nidhi Company [Read Notification]

Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) recently shared a notification dated July 30, 2025 under section 406 (1) of the Companies Act, 2013. The Central Government declares that the company- Shri Narayani (Kumbokanam) Nidhi Limited who has its registered office at NO41/41-A. Shri Narayani Anugraha Gandhi Park North (Sarangapani East Vadampokki street), Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu- 612001, to be a “Nidhi”.

Nidhi Companies are a specific type of NBFC designed to encourage savings and lending among their members. These types of companies operates solely for the benefit of its members and shareholders. Nidhi companies does not need a sperate license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and this companies must have a minimum capital of Rs 10 Lakh and should have at least 7 members with a minimum of three directors.
