MCA Reappoints Former Supreme Court Judge Ashok Bhushan as NCLAT Chief

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) recently issued a notification on November 7, 2025 regarding the reappointment of Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

The Central Government has decided to re-appoint Justice (Retired) Ashok Bhushan, who is a former judge of the Supreme Court of India, as the Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).

This decision has been made by using the powers given under Section 410 of the Companies Act, 2013, along with subsection (2) of Section 3 of the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021.

Under this order, Justice (Retired) Ashok Bhushan will get a salary of Rs. 250,000 per month for this position. His reappointment will start from the date he takes charge of the post.

He will continue to serve in this role until he turns 70 years old, which will be up to July 4, 2026.
