SEBI Says Only “@valid” UPI IDs to be used for market payments
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has introduced new rules that require all registered financial companies like brokers, mutual funds, and investment advisers to use special UPI IDs that end with “@valid.” These IDs will have a green thumbs-up symbol to show they are genuine. Investors can only make payments through these verified IDs, which will help prevent fraud and fake companies from cheating people. Banks will only give these “@valid” IDs to companies after checking them properly on SEBI’s website.
