Unexpected Raid! GST Dept. Suspect Tax Evasion Worth Crores On Premises Of Dry Fruit Traders of Satna

On September 15, 2025 (Monday), The GST Department’s team, who was under the leadership of the Assistant Commissioner, took action against the famous dry fruit traders of Satna city in Madhya Pradesh. The traders are alleged to have committed GST theft worth crores. The GST department’s team continuously raided four places in the city and industrial area. This sudden raid made attention in the business sector.

Three companies – Mohani Traders, Sanjay Dry Fruit, and Sunil Trading Company – are being operated from the city. One of these is near Shwerambar Jain Temple, the second is at Jai Stambh Chowk and the third is in the Tikuria Tola area. They also have a factory running in the industrial area. The team reached there and started investigating.

The GST department suspects that around 15 to 20 officers and employees were also involved in the action. The suspects completely examined the papers related to the transactions, computer data, and old bills. There is a possibility of difference in the stock and sales figures as per the information.

The unexpected raid created huge panic among other businessmen of the city. There is a rumours among the business sector that the GST department is keeping an eye on other reputed firms and action may be taken against them soon.
