ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Receives Huge Custom Demand Order For Incorrect Classification of Goods
ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited has recently issued a regulatory filing dated August 1, 2025 to the Bombay stock exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (“SEBI Listing Regulation”).
The Authority- Office of the Principle Commissioner of Customs (Air Cargo), Chennai has passed an order imposing a demand of INR 21,06,40,522 with applicable interest and penalty. The issue relates to the demand for differential duty on account of the alleged incorrect classification of goods imported as parts/components of Anti-lock braking system and Air braking System and others.
The order was received on July 31, 2025 via e-mail communication from the Authority. The Company believes that the classification adopted is correct and will dispute the demand.
The company has clarified that the taken action will not have any material impact on the finances, operations or other activities.
