Important Update: Deadline Approaching for Opting Into Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)

Through Notification dated January 24, 2025, the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, launched the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for eligible Central Government employees.

As the deadline to select for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) approaches on September 30, 2025, the Central Government notifies that in case a subscriber is unable to submit the UPS request online via the CRA system due to reasons such as unavailability of the online platform or technical difficulties, they may submit a completed physical application form to their respective Nodal Office by the due date.

These requests will be processed by the Nodal Office in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

Note: September 30, 2025 is the last date for eligible employees and past retirees under NPS to opt for UPS.
